The occupiers struck Kostyantynivka: three people were killed

On Saturday, September 13, Russian military forces struck Kostyantynivka in Donetsk region. As a result of the shelling, 3 people were killed and another 7 were injured.

This was reported by the head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration Vadym Filashkin and the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office. It is indicated that the attack by the occupiers has been ongoing since the early morning.

Besides the casualties and the injured, an administrative building, private houses, and apartment buildings in the city were damaged.

"At least 3 people were killed and 6 injured as a result of today’s shelling of Kostyantynivka. Since early morning, the city has been under enemy artillery fire and air bomb strikes," – Filashkin wrote.

According to him, the scale of destruction is constantly increasing, as enemy shelling almost does not stop. All facts and consequences of the actions of the Russian Federation are being carefully documented.

According to the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the number of injured later increased to 7 people, and an investigation has been launched.

"On September 13, 2025, within 50 minutes, the troops of the Russian Armed Forces shelled Kostyantynivka with artillery and MLRS ’Smerch’. The residential area was again under enemy fire. As a result of the attack, three city residents aged 33, 76, and 78 were killed," – stated in the message.

In the residential areas, four women aged 42 to 59 and three men aged 27, 59, and 61 were injured. The injured were diagnosed with blast injuries, shrapnel wounds, and open fractures. Doctors assess their condition as moderately serious.

As a result of the shelling in the city, 14 private and apartment buildings as well as a passenger car were damaged.

"Under the procedural guidance of the Kostyantynivka District Prosecutor’s Office, pre-trial investigations have been initiated in criminal proceedings on the facts of war crimes (parts 1, 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Prosecutors take all possible and necessary measures to document the consequences of the shelling of civilian populations," – says the message.

Evacuation – the best way to save lives

The head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration once again addressed civilians who live in dangerous regions and called on them to evacuate to safer regions.

"Once again, I urge all civilians: take care of yourselves! Evacuate to safer regions of Ukraine!" – the message says.
