The Ministry of Defence is preparing a "zone of death" for the enemy: drones will cover 30 km

The Ministry of Defence announced the intention to create continuous lines of drones at a distance of up to 30 km, to stop the enemy’s advance and force the Kremlin to come to the negotiating table.

This became known from the  statement of the Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.

Shmyhal emphasized that Ukraine’s priorities are preserving the lives of servicemen, strengthening the protection of the sky, and scaling up long-range strikes.

For this, Ukraine needs:

  • FPV drones,
  • robotic systems,
  • shells,
  • air defence systems,
  • interceptor drones.

"It is necessary to create a so-called Kill Zone. These are drone lines that cover 10, 15, or even 30 km of territory and make the enemy’s advance impossible," Shmyhal explained.

The minister also emphasized the development of defence innovations: funding startups based on the venture capital fund model has given a boost to Ukrainian developments in the field of armaments.

According to him, an innovation center is already operating in Kyiv, supporting such projects, and Ukraine is ready to create joint ventures with European countries and attract investments.
