Zelenskyy signed new sanction packages against Russia and its accomplices
On September 20, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed decrees to introduce three new packages of sanctions against Russia and its allies, who are aiding the war in Ukraine and destabilization in Moldova.
This is stated in Zelenskyy’s statement.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine awaits the adoption of the 19th package of sanctions against Russia in the European Union and is working on synchronizing Ukrainian sanctions with European ones.
"Russian energy resources are restricted. There’s also pressure being prepared on the shadow fleet’s infrastructure. Additionally, Europe will take measures against crypto schemes that Russia uses to bypass sanctions," the president highlighted.
Zelenskyy added that Ukrainian proposals to the EU sanctions package are considerably taken into account. Currently, Ukraine is awaiting sanction actions against Russia from the United States.
In addition, three decrees have been signed to apply Ukrainian sanctions: against Russian propagandists, individuals conducting business in temporarily occupied territories, and those who contribute to the destabilization of Moldova. This last step underscores Ukraine’s interest in a stable and successful Moldova.
