Despite the restrictions: companies from the NSDC list continue to receive billion-dollar profits

As of mid-September 2025, the sanctions list of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine includes 197 companies. Despite the restrictions, some of them continue to generate significant profits.

This is evidenced by data from Opendatabot.

The highest revenue among the listed companies in 2024 was declared by the company «UKR GAME TECHNOLOGY», operating under the Pin-Up brand. Its revenue amounted to 1.97 billion UAH. For comparison: «High-Voltage Union-RZVA» earned 71.3 million UAH, «Mashzavod» – 56.7 million UAH, «Tysagaz» – 41.1 million UAH, and «Auto-Mat» – 19 million UAH.

Overall, more than half of the sanctioned companies are registered in Kyiv – 112 enterprises. There are significantly fewer in the regions: 17 in Odesa region, 12 in Lviv region, and 9 each in Chernivtsi and Donetsk regions.

 

Most often, companies from the wholesale trade sector (31%), construction (9.6%), information services and media production (4.1% each), as well as gambling organizers (3.6%) fall under sanctions.

The majority of the current listed companies were added to the list in 2024 – 123 companies, which accounts for 62% of the total number. For comparison: in 2021, there were 38, in 2022 – 20, in 2023 – 11, and in 2025, only 5.

For most sanctioned companies, the restrictions will remain in effect until 2027 (103 enterprises). Another 10 companies have restrictions until 2026, and 40 until 2034. Meanwhile, 28 enterprises are under indefinite sanctions, and for seven, the restrictions are set until 2073.

At the same time, the list is gradually shrinking. Over the entire period of sanctions, 32 companies were completely removed from the list, and for another 217, the sanctions expired after the designated period. Among the former listed companies, the highest revenue in 2024 was earned by M.S.L. – over 310 million UAH, «Interimp» – nearly 95.5 million UAH, and «Patriot» – over 43 million UAH.
