Syrskyi: The AFU advanced in the Dobropillya direction and eliminated 43 occupiers in a day

The Defence Forces of Ukraine continue operations in the Dobropillya direction. During combat operations, 43 invaders and enemy military equipment were destroyed.

This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.

"Our warriors are advancing. Over the past day, control over 1.3 square kilometers has been regained, and search and destruction of the enemy have been conducted in an area of 2.1 square kilometers in the Pokrovskyi district of Donetsk region," he said.

According to him, assault units have advanced from 200 meters to 2.5 kilometers in certain directions. During the fighting, 43 invaders were destroyed, and the total enemy losses amounted to 65 personnel. Additionally, 11 units of military equipment were eliminated, including four artillery systems, six drones, and one motorcycle.

"Overall, during the operation, as of 00:00 on September 22, 2025, 164.5 square kilometers have been liberated, and another 180.8 square kilometers have been cleared of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups. Control over seven settlements has been restored, and nine have been cleared of enemy saboteurs," Syrskyi stated.

He emphasized that the replenishment of the "exchange fund" for the return of defenders from Russian captivity continues.

The total losses of Russian invaders in the Dobropillya direction amount to 2,696 personnel, of which 1,492 are irrecoverable.

Additionally, 856 units of weapons and military equipment were destroyed, including: 12 tanks, 38 armored combat vehicles, 175 artillery systems, 5 MLRS systems, 441 vehicles, 58 motorcycles and ATVs, 1 special equipment, and 173 drones.
