Zelenskyy imposed sanctions against the former owner of Delta Bank, Mykola Lahun

Zelenskyy imposed sanctions against the former owner of the bankrupt Delta Bank, Mykola Lahun.

His name appeared on the NSDC sanctions list as of September 20.

Several criminal cases have been initiated against him, including the embezzlement of 897 million hryvnias from the bank, appropriation of more than 250 million, concealment of 153.5 million hryvnias in overseas income, and tax evasion on that amount.

Delta Bank was declared insolvent in March 2015 – at that time, it was ranked fourth in size by assets among Ukrainian banks. The liquidation process of the bank is still not complete.

Lahun was under house arrest but was later released under a personal obligation.
