The RF declared the "liberation" of Kalynivske in Dnipropetrovsk region, Ukraine refuted

The Ministry of Defence of Russia reported the alleged capture of the village of Kalynivske in the Dnipropetrovsk region, but the Ukrainian side denied this information and stated that the settlement remains under the control of the Defence Forces of Ukraine.

According to the report of the publication "Suspilne Dnipro", the corresponding announcement appeared in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, but the spokesperson of the Operational Group of Troops "Dnipro" Oleksiy Belsky stated that this information is not accurate.

"The units of the "East" troop group advanced deep into the enemy’s defence and liberated the settlement of Kalynivske in the Dnipropetrovsk region", — is stated in the post of the Ministry of Defence of Russia.

The Ukrainian command reported that the Russian side in the Dnipropetrovsk region allegedly uses infiltration tactics. According to them, with small groups of 1–2 military personnel, the enemy penetrates into the territories of settlements to film propaganda videos. Representatives of the UGOV "Dnipro" explained that such groups move through overgrown areas in camouflage suits and ponchos, which sometimes allows them to penetrate deep into Ukrainian defenсes. Each group allegedly has a specific task: several military personnel reach the outskirts of villages, deploy a flag, and take videos that are later published by propaganda resources, and the Ministry of Defenсe of Russia presents this as a "new victory".

The spokesperson of the group emphasized that Ukrainian forces respond promptly to such infiltration attempts. According to him, such groups are quickly destroyed by drone strikes, artillery, or clearing by assault units, and the settlements that the occupiers allegedly "capture" remain under Ukraine’s control.

Additionally, the publication states that as of September 22, 2025, according to the military, Russia has managed to take control of five villages in the Dnipropetrovsk region — Novoheorhiivka, Zaporizke, Sichneve (Yanvarske), Maliivka, and Vorone. At the same time, in seven other settlements, despite active actions by Russian forces, Ukrainian units maintain their positions.

Moreover, it should be noted that on the interactive online map of combat actions in Ukraine Deepstate, the village of Kalynivske in the Dnipropetrovsk region is not occupied, and the Russian Armed Forces are located farther from this settlement, near the village of Novomykolaivka.
