The USA has announced its readiness to fully replace Russian gas and oil for Europe

The USA can promptly replace all the gas and oil supplied to Europe from Russia. European leaders have already been informed about this.

This was stated by US Energy Secretary Chris Wright in a Fox News broadcast.

"In Europe, measures are being taken to replace Russian energy resources. Perhaps not as quickly as we would like. The USA is ready today to replace all Russian gas supplied to Europe, as well as all Russian oil products," Wright emphasized.

According to him, over six days he met with European leaders to assure them that the USA has the necessary capacity to meet Europe’s needs.

"President Trump’s (US President Donald Trump - ed.) agenda is peace. And to achieve peace, it is necessary to influence Putin (Russian dictator Vladimir Putin - ed.)," the minister noted.

He also commented on the European Union’s plans to completely abandon liquefied natural gas supply by January 2027. According to Wright, this step needs to be taken much faster.

"Because the gas that does not go to Europe and is not sold there, they cannot redirect to other regions, especially via pipelines. It’s simply a loss of revenue for Putin and a reduction in his ability to wage war. So yes, our goal is to act much faster," clarified the US Energy Secretary.
