Ukrainian defence companies will start joint production in Denmark, – Shmyhal

Ukrainian defence companies will launch new joint production projects on the territory of Denmark.

This was reported in Telegram by the Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.

As Shmyhal explained, this is provided for by the Memorandum of Understanding, which he signed today together with his Danish colleagues - Minister of Defence Troels Lund Poulsen, Minister of Industry, Business, and Financial Affairs Morten Bødskov, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Lars Løkke Rasmussen.

According to him, the memorandum envisages the launch of production by Ukrainian defence companies on the territory of Denmark, the creation of joint capacities, the exchange of technologies, and the attraction of EU funding for the implementation of joint projects.

"The signing of the memorandum is a big step towards forming a new security system in Europe and strengthening the capabilities of the defence-industrial complexes of our countries," the minister noted.

According to Shmyhal, during the war, jointly produced products will support the Defence Forces of Ukraine. In the long term, Ukraine’s solutions and experience in the security sector will also enhance the defence capabilities of the allies.
