Macron: If Russia continues its aggression, it will pay for rejecting peace

French President Emmanuel Macron has condemned the strikes by Russian occupiers on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure. He also warned Russia about the consequences of its unwillingness to sit at the negotiating table.

He stated this in a post on X.

He emphasized that the agreement reached in Gaza provides a glimmer of hope for peace in the Middle East, adding that the war in Ukraine must also come to an end.

"If Russia continues its stubborn belligerence and refuses to sit at the negotiating table, it will have to pay for it," Macron stressed.

The French President stated that his country condemns the strikes by Russian invaders on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure. According to him, these attacks are aimed at civilians ahead of winter.

"Together with our partners, we are exploring the necessary assistance for recovery and the provision of essential services. France stands by Ukraine more than ever, fully engaged within the Coalition of the Willing," the French leader declared.
