The police showed the consequences of a massive attack by the Russian Federation on Nizhyn: damaged apartment buildings and shops

Yesterday evening and this morning, October 16, Russians terrorized the civilian population of Nizhyn with strike drones. The police have shown the consequences of the massive enemy attack.

This was reported by the  press service of the police in the Chernihiv region.

"Yesterday evening and this morning, the Russian army used drones against the civilian population of the city of Nizhyn," the statement reads.

As a result of the strikes, residential apartment buildings, shops, cars, and civilian infrastructure objects were damaged. Fires broke out in several areas.

According to preliminary data, one local resident was injured. Police, rescuers, and other emergency services are working at the sites of the strikes.

Law enforcement officers are documenting the consequences of the strikes and collecting evidence of another war crime committed by the Russian army. A criminal case has been opened under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - "war crimes."
