Over 70,000 women serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with more than 5,000 on the frontline
According to the data from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, at the beginning of 2025, there were over 70 thousand women in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, of which more than 5.5 thousand are on the front line. The total number of women in the Armed Forces has increased since 2022, and over 48 thousand of them are servicewomen.
More than 70,000 women serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which is 20% more than in 2022.
More than 5,500 Ukrainian women are directly in the combat zone.
The total number of servicewomen is over 48,000, and the total number of women, including civilians working in the structures of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, is 68,000.
