Zelenskyy and Macron discussed the "Coalition of the Willing," pressure on Russia, and strengthening air defence systems
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with French President Emmanuel Macron. Among other things, they discussed increasing pressure on Russia.
Zelenskyy reported this on his Telegram channel.
"We coordinated positions ahead of the ’Coalition of the Willing’ meeting. Now is the time when there is a chance to end the war and stop Russia. To achieve this, we must continue to increase pressure on the Russian Federation, enhance support for Ukraine, and finalize the development of security guarantees," the president noted.
In addition, the presidents discussed the consequences of Russian strikes on Ukraine, as well as strengthening air defense and the resilience of Ukrainian energy infrastructure – this is currently one of the key priorities.
As noted, defense cooperation and specific decisions that can strengthen Ukraine also remain in focus.
"I thank France and Emmanuel personally for their support. We appreciate all the assistance provided to protect lives," Zelenskyy added.
