The Defence Forces of Ukraine repelled a massive attack by the occupiers near Dobropillya
Russian troops made another attempt at a mechanized attack in the Dobropillya area, trying to capture the settlements of Shakhove and Volodymyrivka. The enemy suffered significant losses.
This was reported by the Telegram channel of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine "Azov."
As reported, the enemy deployed 29 units of armored vehicles in the attack, making this assault one of the largest in recent times. A notable feature of the attack was the increased number of tanks.
The enemy attempted to complicate the actions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces by advancing equipment in small groups—4-5 units at a time—via different routes and at different times.
The occupiers also relied on adverse weather conditions, which hinder the operation of drones. Despite this, their plan was thwarted.
Thanks to the timely engineering preparation of positions, effective mining, and the coordinated actions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces units—primarily the artillery crews of the Armed Forces and National Guard brigades, as well as the crews of Unmanned Systems Forces—the enemy’s attack, which lasted over six hours, was repelled.
As a result, the enemy lost 15 units of equipment: two tanks, 12 armored combat vehicles, and one unit of light motor transport. Enemy infantry that disembarked from the vehicles was destroyed by FPV drones.
Currently, the clearing of areas where enemy infantry disembarked is ongoing.
