Night attack with "Shaheds": Russia launched 126 drones, air defence forces shot down 93 UAVs

On the night of October 29, the Russian army launched 126 drones across the territory of Ukraine. Air defence neutralized 93 of them. Hits by 32 strike UAVs were recorded at 10 locations.

This was reported by the Air Force.

"On the night of October 29 (from 19:00 on October 28), the enemy attacked with 126 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and other types from the directions of Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – RF, Donetsk, Chauda, Hvardiiske – temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, with about 80 of them being ’Shaheds,’" they reported.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defence Forces of Ukraine.

"According to preliminary data, as of 09:00, air defence shot down/suppressed 93 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and other types in the north and east of the country," the statement noted.

They warn that as of the morning of October 29, the attack continues, with several enemy UAVs still in the airspace.
