Russian shelling in Kherson region: two civilians killed, 17 injured
In the Kherson region, two civilians were killed and 17 others were injured during the day due to Russian shelling.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
"Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated into the commission of war crimes (Parts 1 and 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the statement reads.
According to the investigation, the Russians used artillery and various types of drones to shell populated areas.
As of 17:30, there are reports of two fatalities and 17 injured civilians.
During the day, two civilians were killed and 14 others were injured, some seriously, due to artillery shelling in Kherson. One person in the regional center was injured by an enemy drone attack.
Two more civilians were injured in Bilozerka: one from enemy artillery, and the other from a drone.
Private and multi-apartment buildings, a dormitory of an educational institution, retail outlets, a religious building, utility structures, garages, and vehicles were also damaged.
