Russia launched the ninth massive strike on Ukraine’s gas infrastructure: a Naftogaz employee was injured

On the night of November 8, Russian forces once again attacked Ukraine’s gas infrastructure. This marks the ninth massive shelling of energy facilities since the beginning of October.

This was reported by the press service of "Naftogaz".

As stated by the head of the Naftogaz Group, Serhiy Koretskyi, the enemy is deliberately targeting enterprises that provide Ukrainians with gas and heat. As a result of the latest attack, hits and damage to production equipment have been recorded.

Unfortunately, one company employee was injured. He is currently under medical supervision.

Rescue services are working at the sites of the strikes. As soon as the security situation allows, Naftogaz specialists will begin restoring the damaged facilities.

"Another act of terrorism. We thank the air defence forces: every target shot down means, above all, lives saved," noted Serhiy Koretskyi.

On the night of November 8, Russia once again carried out a massive shelling of Ukrainian territory, using drones and missiles. Residents of Dnipro, as well as Kharkiv and Sumy regions, reported explosions.

As a result of strikes on energy infrastructure facilities, Kremenchuk and Horishni Plavni in Poltava Oblast were completely left without electricity.

Local authorities are taking all necessary measures to maintain the operation of water supply, sewage, and heating systems even in the absence of electricity. Invincibility Points are being set up for residents.

Additionally, Russian forces shelled the outskirts of Kharkiv. Due to the consequences of the attack, the city experienced disruptions in electricity and water supply, and the metro is temporarily out of service. Some areas have reported issues with water supply, and trolleybus routes have been replaced by buses.

On this night, the Russian Federation launched 503 air attack means against Ukraine:

  • 458 strike UAVs of the "Shahed" and "Gerbera" types;
  • 25 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles;
  • 10 Iskander-K cruise missiles;
  • 7 X-47M2 "Kinzhal" aeroballistic missiles;
  • 3 "Kalibr" cruise missiles.
