Polish farmers have stopped blocking the movement of trucks in the direction of the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint; as of March 21, 4 directions of the border with Poland remain blocked.

This was announced by the representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Colonel Andriy Demchenko.

“Ukrainian border guards received information about this at about 21:30 the day before from representatives of the Polish Border Guard. They noted that Polish farmers had completed blocking the movement of cargo vehicles entering and exiting Poland.”

So the registration of this category of transport began to be carried out as usual."

According to Demchenko, in the morning 4 directions remain blocked for truck traffic: Yahodyn, Ustyluh, Uhryniv and Rava Ruska.

In the direction of these checkpoints, Polish farmers allow different numbers of trucks in both directions, but, for example, along “Rava Ruska” and “Yahodyn”, freight vehicles from Ukraine to Poland are still not allowed through. In addition, in the Yahodyn direction, protesters are allowing a fairly small number of trucks going to Ukraine through, noted the speaker of the State Border Guard Service. Over the past 24 hours there were only 50 such cases, which is a critically low figure for this area, he added.

Collectively, as of the morning of March 21, there are about 850 trucks in queues on 4 blocked routes in Poland. Most of all, it’s opposite “Yahodyn” and “Rava Ruska”.

On other directions of the western border, according to Demchenko, queues also persist, because carrier drivers choose other sections due to the complexity of traffic on the Ukrainian-Polish section. In particular, opposite the Tisa checkpoint on the territory of Hungary, the queue of trucks reaches 1000 cars, another 530 cars in the queue opposite the Uzhgorod checkpoint on the Slovak side, and almost 400 vehicles. on the Romanian-Ukrainian border opposite the Porubne checkpoint.
