MP told whether the draft law on mobilisation will be adopted in March
The council considered only one and a half thousand amendments out of 4,197. The adoption of the document will depend on the general setup of factions and groups during consideration in the session hall, said People’s Deputy Roman Kostenko.
The Verkhovna Rada may not adopt the mobilization bill No. 10449 until the end of March. This was announced by People’s Deputy from the Golos party, Secretary of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence Roman Kostenko in a commentary to Gazeta.ua.
“I doubt it. It’s almost the end of March, and I doubt that it (the bill - ed.) will be adopted in March,” said Roman Kostenko.
He noted that the question is whether the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence will be able to pass all the amendments by the end of the month. Currently, people’s deputies have reviewed only one and a half thousand of the 4,197 amendments.
At the same time, the potential for adoption of the document will depend on the general setup of factions and groups during consideration in the session hall, the people’s deputy noted.
In addition, he noted that it will depend on what the document will be like after passing the amendments whether it can be said 100% that the bill will be adopted. In particular, the final version may differ from what it is now. For example, in the first edition, registration of an electronic military account was defined as an obligation, whereas in the current version it is a right.
