Syrskyi stated the difficult situation at the front and named the main goal of the Russian Federation

It is especially difficult to the east of Chasiv Yar near Bakhmut, Berdychi near Avdiivka and a number of other settlements.

This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, on April 6.

"The most intense fighting is taking place in the areas of Pervomaiske and Vodiane, as well as east of Chasiv Yar, where the enemy is trying to break through the defences of our troops.

Chasiv Yar remains under our control, all the enemy’s attempts to break through to the settlement failed," said the Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy is conducting local offensives in the areas of Bilohorivka and Vesele; in the Orikhiv sector, in the areas of Robotyn and Verbove to regain lost ground; in the Kherson sector, it is trying to force Ukrainian troops from the bridgehead near Krynky, but, according to Syrsky, to no avail.

"At the same time, we have some tactical success in the Kupyansk and Lyman sectors," he added.
