Pletenchuk: The village of Krynky is almost gone, but Ukrainian marines are holding their positions

“The Ukrainian marines are holding their positions. Although in fact it is hellish work - there is actually no settlement there, which was called Krynky. And it is really difficult to gain a foothold there, because in fact there is no longer shelter. That is, solely on character, on experience and, accordingly, Ukrainian marines are holding out on cooperation, but they are fulfilling their tasks,” Pletenchuk said.

He added that over the past 24 hours, in the zone of responsibility of the Southern Defence Forces, the Russian army carried out 23 assaults: 14 in the Krynky area (which were unsuccessful), and 9 in the Orikhiv direction - in the area of Staromayorsk, Mala Tokmachka and Novoandriivka.

Dmytro Pletenchuk also reported that the invaders attempted to land on Nestryha Island. Thus, the enemy wants to improve his tactical position.

“Therefore, this also allows us to get closer to our positions, to populated areas on the right bank. Accordingly, it is easier to conduct mortar fire from there or control FPV drones - to increase their range. Therefore, this is interesting to them, but there are few such attempts,” Pletenchuk concluded.
