Air defence forces shot down 5 missiles and 11 UAVs at night

During the evening of July 11 and on the night of July 12, air defence forces shot down 5 Russian missiles and 11 UAVs.

The Air Force reported this on Telegram.

“On the evening of July 11, 2024, the invaders attacked from strategic aircraft with 5 air-launched cruise missiles of the X-101 type (launched from the Saratov region, Russian Federation), and during the night - with 19 attack UAVs of the Shahed-131/136 type and unidentified drones from the areas of Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk region, Russian Federation.

The main direction of attack was Starokostyantyniv".

The missiles were shot down in Khmelnytsky, Sumy and Cherkasy regions. Air defences also shot down 11 "Shaheds" and unidentified drones in Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Kherson and Sumy regions.

The remaining eight drones, according to the Air Force, were lost in the area. The military suggests that the Russian army is using imitators of attack drones to overload air defences.
