Ukrainian anthem will be heard for the first time at the 2024 Olympics

The Ukrainian saber fencing team defeated South Korea in the final of the team tournament with a score of 45:42 and won gold at the 2024 Olympics.

Olha Kharlan, Alina Komashchuk, Yuliya Bakastova and Olena Kravatska fenced for Ukraine. This is the first gold for our team in Paris.

The awards ceremony took place immediately after the final. Ukrainian saber fencers received gold medals, representatives of South Korea received silver, and bronze medals were given to Japan, which defeated France in the match for third place.

In honor of the victory of our saber fencers, the Ukrainian anthem was played at the Grand Palais arena in Paris.
