Chasiv Yar will be doomed if Pokrovsk fails to be held

Military expert Pavlo Narozhnyi reported on the difficult situation in the direction of Pokrovsk.

"Unfortunately, we cannot reverse this dynamic yet, because the enemy has focused absolutely all of its combat-ready units in this direction. A huge number of CAB strikes are taking place there. And it all looks like it is a matter of time before the fighting starts in the vicinity of Pokrovsk. The second direction where they are also putting pressure is Vozdvyzhenka, a village near Pokrovsk," Narozhnyi noted.

He explained why it was important for the occupiers to capture Pokrovsk, in addition to political goals:

"There is the Myrnohrad-Kramatorsk road there, and this road is extremely important, because a significant part of the supplies to the same Chasiv Yar goes along it. If they cut it off, then the only road left is through Slavyansk, which cannot be said to be absolutely safe. If they manage to cut off our logistics, Chasiv Yar will be doomed, because it is a matter of time before we will have to retreat from it, since it will not be possible to supply the fighters there."

Therefore, the expert concluded, let us hope that we will be able to stop the enemy on the approaches to Pokrovsk, as happened, for example, near Chasiv Yar: “We understand that the enemy has about a month left for such pressure. Because around the beginning of September, a wave of mobilized people who joined the army after the adoption of the law on strengthening mobilization will just start arriving at the front.”
