Drones attacked Kashyrska and Konakivska SDPPs in Russia: both power facilities are on fire
On the night of September 1, drones hit several power plants in the territory of the aggressor country Russia. As a result, fires broke out at two power plants in the Tver and Moscow regions.
Russian authorities claim that air defense systems are working, but witnesses claim that energy facilities were hit directly. This information is being disseminated by Russian Telegram channels.
In the Tver region, the Konakivska State District Power Plant was attacked by a UAV. Governor Igor Rudenya reported that air defence systems allegedly shot down a drone in the Konakovo area, and a total of 5 UAVs were recorded approaching the settlement.
At the same time, witnesses reported a fire in Konakovo, where one of the largest power plants in central Russia is located.
The Kashyra State District Power Plant in the Moscow Region also caught fire. Kremlin propagandists, citing local authorities, said that an attempt was made to attack the territory of the power plant by three drones at night. At the same time, the Russian Federation announced that "there are no casualties or damage."
However, witnesses also published a video showing an explosion near the Kashyra State District Power Plant. According to eyewitnesses, a fire broke out on the territory of the power plant after the drone attack.
Local officials insist that "there was no fire, and electricity is being supplied to subscribers without interruption." It is also reported that emergency services are working at the scene.
