Deputies propose to abolish the State Final Attestation (SFA) for students in grades 4, 9, and 11.
The corresponding bill was registered in the Verkhovna Rada.
Parliamentarians indicated in the explanatory note that this proposal is "due to" martial law and the aggression of the Russian Federation, which has affected the national system of education and science in Ukraine.
Therefore, in addition to canceling the SFA for students at each level of complete general secondary education, it is also proposed to continue conducting entrance exams in electronic format in 2025.
The document also provides a mandatory list of subjects for the NMT:
- Ukrainian language;
- Mathematics;
- History of Ukraine;
- An elective subject ("Foreign Language", "Biology", "Geography", "Physics", "Chemistry", "Ukrainian Literature").
It is worth noting that in 2024, the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment conducted a pilot SFA for students in 4th grade. According to the results of this assessment, the UCEQA noted that in 2025 the second stage of the pilot will be conducted. However, the results will not affect the final grades of the students.
