On the night of October 18-19, Russian forces launched a combined aerial attack using drones and guided bombs on the energy infrastructure of Shostka in the Sumy region.

This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration on Telegram.

«On the night of October 19, the Russians launched an air strike on the Shostka community using GABs and «Shaheds», – the report states.

As a result of the enemy’s attack, preliminarily, seven people were injured.

Additionally, energy and infrastructure facilities were damaged. Several settlements in the Shostka district were left without power. All necessary services are working at the sites of the strikes, added the Regional Military Administration.

By the morning, power supply was partially restored, but work continues.

The Regional Military Administration also noted that from 9 AM, emergency shutdown schedules from stages 1 to 5 were implemented in the Sumy region, according to the instructions of "Ukrenergo". Temporarily, the Shostka, Konotop, and part of the Sumy districts will be without power.
