On the Pokrovsk direction, the occupiers executed six Ukrainian prisoners
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian occupiers shot six captured Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers. Law enforcement agencies have initiated an investigation.
This is reported by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
"According to operational data, on October 23, 2024, during an offensive on the city of Selydove, Russian military captured three Ukrainian soldiers. Soon, the occupiers shot the unarmed prisoners of war," the message states.
Moreover, on November 1, during an assault on the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ fortifications in the same Pokrovsk direction, the Russian invaders killed three more prisoners of war with automatic weapons.

The Office of the Prosecutor General emphasizes that these actions violate the Geneva Conventions and are classified as an international crime.
Under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, pre-trial investigations have been initiated regarding the war crimes that resulted in the death of prisoners of war (part 2 of article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
