Authority Yuriy Yerynyak "Moldovan" sought to have the suspicion canceled through the court
The lawyers of the 57-year-old head of the charitable foundation "Horst," Yuriy Yerynyak, known in certain circles as the so-called "authoritative businessman" nicknamed "Moldovan"/"Yura Moldovan," attempted to achieve the annulment of the suspicion against their client regarding involvement in the organization of a kidnapping in 2012 (Part 3 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), torture (Part 2 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), and extortion (Part 4 of Article 189 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) of 200 million dollars from the former general director of PJSC "Naftogazvydobuvannya," and now a Member of Parliament of the 9th convocation, Oleh Seminsky.
Information about this is contained in the documents of the court registry.

They suggest that the reason for "Moldovan’s" side to appeal to the Solomyanskyi court were arguments regarding alleged procedural violations by the authorities during the official charges against Yuriy in the so-called "Seminskyi case." Among these was the non-compliance by law enforcement with the norms of Part 7 of Article 135 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, as the notable (according to the defense’s interpretation) went abroad at the time of the notice of suspicion being served.
However, Judge Iryna Vereshchynska concluded that there were no grounds to satisfy Yerynyak’s complaint. She stated: "Moldovan’s" "emigration" and his departure to the United Arab Emirates in February 2021 occurred literally a week before the announcement of the suspicion against him. At the same time, the relevant summons, notice of rights, and calls to the prosecutor were then handed to the adult son of "Horst’s" head.
In the public domain, the announcement of the suspicion to Yuriy Yerynyak and four other figures in the scandalous story about the "kidnapped Oleh" (former Minister of Transport, MP of several convocations Mykola Rudkovskyi, Zakarpattia Regional Council deputy Stepan Derkach, head of the Handball Federation of Ukraine Andriy Melnyk nicknamed "Dlinnyi," and Andriy Shykora nicknamed "Karatyst") was announced by law enforcement on the birthday of the authoritative businessman - February 25, 2021.
In the summer of that year, "Moldovan" was put on the international wanted list, where he remains to this day. His episode has been allocated to a separate criminal proceeding.
As for Yerynyak’s possible accomplices in the story of the kidnapping of the top manager of the largest Ukrainian gas production company in early 2012 in Kyiv, as already reported on the pages of Detective-Info, the indictment against "Karatyst," "Dlinnyi," Derkach, and Rudkovskyi was sent to the Holosiivskyi court back in July last year.

However, due to the systematic non-appearances in court by Rudkovskyi and Derkach, the consideration of the high-profile case has not yet moved beyond the preparatory proceedings stage.
