Budanov shared information about the Russian Federation’s preparation for the genocide of Ukrainians

Long before the large-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia was planning the genocide of Ukrainians. The occupiers were given instructions on creating lists for executions, mobile crematoria and other measures.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the statement of the head of the DIU Kyrylo Budanov at the forum "Genocidal practices of the Russian Federation in Ukraine: from the Holodomor to the Russian-Ukrainian war."

According to him, Russia’s plans for the genocide of Ukrainians before a large-scale invasion included the creation of shooting lists, mobile crematoria and mass burials. This preparation went on deliberately long before the invasion began.

In particular, as Budanov noted, in an article by the head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin, published in July 2021, he again denied the right of Ukrainians to exist.

"Russian propaganda, higher state authorities, high-ranking officials and the entire state machine, having received permission from their leader, repeatedly called for the destruction of Ukrainians," the head of the Ministry of Education and Culture emphasized.

According to him, deep Ukrainophobia has covered the entire society of Russia.

"The genocide of Ukrainians became not only the state policy of the Russian Federation, but also a social conviction that was imposed "from above," Budanov summarized.

Instructions and lists for shootings

Before the large-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Russian occupiers were briefed on the location of mass graves.

"Teachers of the Ukrainian language, literature, history, ATO veterans, journalists, scientists, writers, priests of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and other denominations who supported Ukraine, public and political figures, heads of state and self-government bodies were to be included in the lists for executions," - reported the head of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

Budanov noted that the maniacal instructions were implemented in various regions of Ukraine, where the Russian occupiers entered.

"We observed terrible mass crimes against Ukrainian citizens, which became known to the whole world. The atrocities of the units of the Russian Armed Forces in Borodyanka, Buch, Gostomel, Izyum, Mariupol and many other populated areas of Ukraine demonstrated that these simultaneous actions were based on clear doctrinal provisions of the Russian genocidal government policy and military leadership," he concluded.
