Ukrainian energy specialists have eliminated the threat of a complete power outage at the ZNPP
Ukrainian energy workers have launched a high-voltage line that supplies electricity to the occupied Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP). The station was threatened with a complete loss of power due to another Russian shelling.
This was reported by Telegram "Ukrenergo".
It is noted that repair crews of "Ukrenergo" eliminated damage to the high-voltage line that supplies power to the occupied Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant.
"Currently, the occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP receives power from both the main and backup high-voltage transmission lines," the company reported.
According to Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko, powering the station with only one line is extremely dangerous.
"The power supply to such an object must be stable and uninterrupted. Only its return to Ukraine’s control can guarantee the safe operation of the largest nuclear power plant in Europe," he added.
During the occupation, the station has already experienced 8 power outages.
