AF: 22 Russian drones were shot down over Ukraine at night, there have been several hits

The Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled another Russian attack on Ukraine on the night of December 3, shooting down 22 strike UAVs. At the same time, hits were recorded in the Ternopil and Rivne regions.

During the air raid, which lasted from 10:00 PM the previous day, air defense operated in nine regions. Details were provided by the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and regional military administrations.

It is noted that the enemy used 28 Shahed drones and other types of UAVs for the attack (launches from Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk, Orel, and Millerovo in Russia).

As of 9:00 AM, units of anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare, and mobile strike groups of the Air Force and Defence Forces of Ukraine shot down 22 Russian UAVs in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

One drone was lost in location, and two exited the controlled airspace towards Belarus and temporarily occupied territory.

"Several hits on critical infrastructure objects in Ternopil and Rivne regions have been recorded," added the Air Force.

Specifically, Russia attacked an energy infrastructure object in the Rivne region with drones. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties; all relevant services worked at the scene to mitigate the consequences.

A Russian UAV also hit an energy infrastructure object in the Ternopil region. A fire broke out there, and part of the regional center was left without electricity.

In the Kyiv region, as a result of falling debris from downed hostile targets, four private houses, two cars, a garage building with a utility block, and a fence were damaged in one settlement.

The Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration noted that during the night’s air raid alert, air defense forces destroyed one enemy Shahed-type UAV with no consequences.
