At the CCD, rumors are refuted about the order to hold the Kursk region until Trump’s inauguration
Recent rumors that the Ukrainian military allegedly received an order to hold part of the Kursk region until Donald Trump’s inauguration have been officially refuted in Ukraine.
The Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defence Council published a statement indicating that no such orders were received by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The head of the CCD of Ukraine, Oleksiy Kovalenko, emphasized that the information spread in the media is not true.
According to Kovalenko, the Ukrainian armed forces continue to adhere to their plans aimed at liberating occupied territories, but issues related to the Kursk region are not part of their current tasks. On the contrary, in the context of military operations along the entire front line, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are focused on neutralizing Russian forces in other strategically important locations.
This information contradicts what foreign sources previously claimed, mentioning the so-called "agreed" holding of part of the Kursk region, which likely resulted from misinterpretations or deliberate misinformation.
