Ukraine has returned five more children from Russian occupation
Five Ukrainian children have returned to Ukraine from Russian occupation. The youngest of them was only 6 years old.
This became known from a statement by the advisor to the Head of the President’s Office, Dariya Zarivna.
"As part of the President of Ukraine’s initiative Bring Kids Back UA and thanks to cooperation with our partners from Save Ukraine, five more Ukrainian children returned to Ukraine from Russian occupation," Zarivna reported.
According to her, among the returned children were a brother and sister, ages 6 and 10, who had not attended school or kindergarten for three years. Due to the pro-Ukrainian stance, the parents did not send the children to Russian institutions, filled with propaganda.
"10-year-old Nastya lived in a village that was cut off from the outside world since the beginning of the war - the Russians did not allow any humanitarian aid, including food, medicine, and clothes," the advisor explained.
In contrast, minors Ihor, 15, and Denys, 17, were forced by the Russians to undergo military training and were drafted into the Russian army.
"For the boys, returning to Ukraine-controlled territory was a matter of life and death. Today, all these children are in Ukraine, where they are awaited by safety, care, and a bright future. However, thousands of children remain in Russia and the temporarily occupied territories, and we will not stop until we bring them all home!" she explained.
