Ukrainian pilots have completed training on Mirage 2000-5F fighter jets

Pilots of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have successfully completed flight training on the Mirage 2000-5F. Ukrainian mechanics have also undergone training in servicing these French fighters.

This was reported by the account French Aid to Ukraine on the social network X (Twitter) on Wednesday, December 25. The training lasted six months.

"After six months, the training of Ukrainian pilots and mechanics on the Mirage 2000-5F has been completed. Merry Christmas!" the message says.

It should be noted that the holiday greeting is written in Ukrainian, while the rest of the text is in English.

The Mirage 2000 is a French multirole fighter aircraft developed by Dassault Aviation, which served as the main combat aircraft for the French Air Force in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. It is in service in Greece, Egypt, UAE, India, Peru, Taiwan (previously also in Brazil and Qatar).

According to various sources, Paris may transfer 12 to 20 fighters to Ukraine in 2025. The first deliveries are expected no earlier than the first quarter of next year.
