In Mykolaiv, a fire broke out due to a "Shahed" attack: rescuers showed the consequences

This was reported with reference to the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Vitaliy Kim.

The official provided preliminary data on the consequences of the drone attack on Mykolaiv during the night of December 28.

"As a result of the ’Shahed’ shelling, the roof of a multi-story building is reportedly on fire. Information is being clarified," he stated on his Telegram channel.

The head of the RMA added that emergency services were dispatched to the scene.

Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych shared this report from the head of the regional administration regarding the fire resulting from the Russian attack on the city.

The city head added that the air raid alert in the region is still ongoing.

At 02:27, RMA head Kim reported that the fire in Mykolaiv was extinguished following the Russian drone attack.

"At the moment, there are no casualties," the official added.

Later, Mayor Senkevych reported that a part of the building’s roof was damaged, and windows were broken due to the ’Shahed’ attack in Mykolaiv.

Emergency responders also informed that the roof of the residential building was partially destroyed, and windows were broken.

"To mitigate the consequences of the shelling, 23 firefighters and 8 units of equipment were involved. The Red Cross Ukraine’s Rapid Response Unit also provided assistance to citizens," stated the SES statement.
