Fico declined Zelenskyy’s invitation to a meeting in Kyiv to discuss gas transit

Fico declined Zelenskyy’s invitation to come to Kyiv on Friday to discuss the transit of Russian gas.

This was reported by the Deputy Speaker of the Slovak Parliament.

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico had previously suggested to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to meet at the border to discuss key issues regarding energy supply, especially in the context of the transit of Russian gas through Slovakia. However, Zelenskyy invited him to a meeting in Kyiv, proposing a more formal setting for the negotiations.
