The son of an official from the Donetsk Regional State Administration was appointed as the deputy head of the Southern Branch of the AMCU

The new deputy head of the Southern Branch of the AMCU, Maksym Fedalchenko, quickly advanced in his career without any experience in public institutions.

This information became known from his income declaration.

Maksym Fedalchenko submitted only one declaration as a candidate for the position of chief specialist of the AMCU. The documents were registered in February 2024. The future official indicated that he is from Donetsk but resides in Kyiv. Until this point, Fedalchenko had not worked in public institutions. This is his first declaration.

During this period, without a competitive process, the official unexpectedly became the deputy head of the regional branch - head of the second research and investigations department. In addition, Fedalchenko did not submit a declaration regarding his new position, which can be considered a violation of anti-corruption legislation.

The official’s declaration does not mention any relatives. There is no work biography on the AMCU website, but journalists discovered that he comes from a Donetsk family of officials. His mother, Tetyana Taranenko, is the deputy director of the department and head of the coal industry and energy management of Donetsk Regional State Administration.

His father, Oleksandr Fedalchenko, is a former head of the "Road Expert and Technical Center" SP of PJSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" and an official of the Research and Design Technology Institute of Railway Transport. Interestingly, the relatives declare minimal assets.

Fedalchenko himself indicated that he owns an apartment in Kramatorsk with an area of 55.2 square meters, which he purchased in 2020 for 212 thousand hryvnias. He also owns a share in his parents’ apartment in the occupied Donetsk.

In 2020, the official purchased a HYUNDAI Tucson FL (2020) car for 690 thousand hryvnias. He also indicated that in 2023 he earned 845 thousand hryvnias at LLC "Mine "Sviato-Pokrovska №3".
