Russian occupiers shelled Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region on Wednesday, January 15, killing a 54-year-old woman. The enemy struck her house with a multiple launch rocket system.

This was reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, on his Telegram account. The body of the local resident was retrieved from the rubble of the house.

"In Nikopol, a 54-year-old woman died. Her body was extracted by rescuers from the rubble of her house. The enemy destroyed it by shelling the city with MLRS," the head of the RMA wrote.

Moreover, as a result of the enemy’s shelling of Nikopol, a 45-year-old man was injured. Medical workers provided him with necessary assistance. He does not require hospitalization.

"A house and an outbuilding have been destroyed. Housing was also damaged – private houses and apartment buildings. Garages and cars were mutilated. Gas pipelines and power lines were affected. Two fires broke out, which rescuers managed to control," added Lysak.
