Shoot down ballistic missiles succeeds in only 15% of cases, – military expert Hrabskyi
Ballistics – this is one of the most difficult types of missiles to intercept and destroy. According to statistics, the average interception rate for ballistic missiles is approximately 15%.
This was stated by military expert Serhiy Hrabskyi. He proposed a method that would help reduce the number of Russian ballistic missile attacks.
"There is one way to solve this problem: addressing the causes rather than the consequences. Defence forces should know where the launchers are located and strike them.
This involves enhancing our intelligence, as it is physically impossible to protect every kilometer of our territory even with the most advanced missile defence systems. Despite our allies providing us with everything possible to the maximum extent possible," – noted Hrabskyi.
However, it is still impossible to protect the entire territory of Ukraine. Therefore, an active approach to combat is to strike ground targets before launch, destroying the enemy’s infrastructure that facilitates missile launches. A passive defence method is staying in shelters during air raids.
