In an interview with Fox News, Donald Trump criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, stating that he is "not an angel" and should not have allowed the war with Russia to start.

Trump noted that Zelenskyy is now ready for peace talks but is "fed up with it." He emphasized that if Zelenskyy had not entered into conflict with a much stronger opponent, a "simple deal" could have been reached.

Trump also mentioned that the USA has spent 200 billion dollars more than Europe in supporting Ukraine because Biden did not demand Europeans to increase their spending. According to Trump, the war has turned into a proxy duel between the USA and Russia, and if Zelenskyy had decided on peace earlier, such large-scale costs and conflicts could have been avoided.
