For illegal enrichment, the former customs officer faces 10 years of imprisonment
A former employee of the Lviv customs is suspected of illegal enrichment - he acquired unjustified assets - land plots, cars, etc. - amounting to more than 12 million UAH. For this, he faces, among other things, 5 to 10 years of imprisonment.
This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigation ( SBI ). They noted that the "suspicious" assets of the former employee include:
- a residential house in the Dnipropetrovsk region;
- 22 land plots in the Dnipropetrovsk and Lviv regions;
- cars - Jeep Cherokee, Toyota Venza, KamAZ;
- a trailer and a watercraft Brig Falkon 450L;
- an excavator "EO-2621".
"He registered all these assets in his name and in the names of his close relatives - wife, father, and father-in-law. He is suspected of illegal enrichment (Art. 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the statement says.
It is emphasized that the issue of choosing a preventive measure for the suspect is currently being decided. Law enforcement also intends to seek a court order to seize the mentioned assets.
