A criminal case was initiated against the former commander of the 46th brigade, Vitaliy Zolotaryov, for the loss of Kurakhove (although this has not been officially confirmed), reports the military public Deep State and TSN special correspondent Yuliya Kyriyenko-Merynova.

According to her information, Colonel Zolotaryov "is already receiving warnings and advice to find a lawyer."

"Initially, he was removed from brigade command because he was accused of losing Kurakhove. Now they want to publicly punish him for this alleged loss," the journalist reports.

"The brigade remained in the city even when there was only one road leading there, and it held on even when there was almost no infantry.
