The Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that the offensive in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad area has been stopped

Despite Russian attempts to actively advance on Pokrovsk, the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to halt the enemy’s progress. The enemy will not succeed in capturing the city by storm.

This was reported to Channel 24 by the head of the Electronic Warfare Service of the 111th Brigade, Ukrainian Armed Forces officer Oleksiy Herman.

According to Herman, Russian occupiers are attempting to attack Pokrovsk from the flanks and cut off the road to Dnipro. However, Ukrainian forces managed to stop them. The enemy is very tired and lacks motivation.

«The advance on the Pokrovsk – Myrnohrad section has been stopped», – he emphasized.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces officer noted that the occupiers will not succeed in assaulting Pokrovsk. For this, the enemy would need a larger army. However, the Russians conduct active attacks from the flanks daily, using small infantry groups. By spring, the number of enemy assaults may increase.

«Russians use everything: aviation, bombs, artillery, MLRS. We are already used to this», – Herman noted.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces officer added that Pokrovsk is under the enemy’s fire control. There are no safe areas that Russian FPV drones could not attack.
