Criminal proceedings have been opened against Poroshenko, Boholyubov, Zhevaho, Kolomoiskyi, and the traitor Medvedchuk

This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.

Petro Poroshenko

In 2021, the fifth President of Ukraine was accused of committing state treason and aiding terrorist organizations in collusion with a group of individuals. In the same case, the former leader of the "Opposition Platform - For Life," Viktor Medvedchuk, was also accused.

Both are suspected of having, from November 2014 to January 2015, in collusion with others and representatives of the top political leadership of Russia, assisted the so-called "LPR" and "DPR" in obtaining profits totaling over 3 billion hryvnias from organized coal supplies from the occupied territories.

The pre-trial investigation was completed back in 2022.

"Due to abuse of their rights and delaying the process, prosecutors applied to the court with a motion to restrict the defence party’s time to familiarize themselves until the end of March 2025," the Office of the Prosecutor General reports.

Viktor Medvedchuk

Medvedchuk is also charged in another proceeding. He is accused of state treason and violation of the laws and customs of war. The former Member of Parliament is accused of:

• assisting Russian officials in plundering a Ukrainian oil and gas field within the Pre-Kerch shelf of the Black Sea;
• transferring confidential information about the location of a military unit to the enemy.

He also ensured the functioning of an influence network intended to shape public opinion in Ukraine favorable to Russia.

Ihor Kolomoiskyi

The businessman is currently in custody. He is suspected of, along with the former head of a bank branch, embezzling funds from a financial institution, a joint-stock company, and participants in a joint investment agreement totaling over 5.36 billion hryvnias.

In particular, they legalized almost 4.1 billion hryvnias of proceeds obtained illegally.

Additionally, the businessman has been charged with organizing the contract killing of a law firm’s director due to the latter’s refusal to annul and declare invalid the decisions of the general meeting of the joint-stock company.

Kostyantyn Zhevaho

The actual owner of JSC "Finance and Credit Bank," who is currently abroad, is suspected of embezzling 113 million USD in collusion with officials of the financial institution.

He is also a suspect in another case regarding the creation of a criminal organization, embezzlement, and laundering of property obtained illegally.

"According to the organized scheme, more than 608 million UAH were illegally transferred from the bank’s accounts to accounts of non-resident companies controlled by members of the criminal organization. These funds were effectively withdrawn from Ukraine and not returned to the bank," adds the Office of the Prosecutor General.

Hennadiy Boholyubov

The businessman was notified of suspicion in:

• illegal possession of another person’s passport;
• organizing the illegal transfer of a person across Ukraine’s state border.

"Suspected of organizing illegal border crossing with the involvement of a border guard. For this, the businessman used a Ukrainian citizen’s passport, lost in 2022, as reported to the State Migration Service of Ukraine. The suspect has now been declared wanted," adds the Office of the Prosecutor General.
