In Odesa, harmful substances were released into the air after a Russian attack on warehouses

This was reported in Telegram by the Odesa City Council.

According to the Odesa City Council, as of March 11, 2025, there have been 21 emergencies related to fires in the region, out of which 5 occurred in the city of Odesa.

"As a result of the fires, a significant amount of pollutants and combustion products were released into the air," the statement reads.

The city council also noted that, until the air situation improves, it is recommended to avoid being outdoors if possible, or use a respirator, and to close windows and doors at home to prevent smoke from entering the premises.

The Municipal Center for Environmental Safety of the Odesa City Council and the Odesa Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine are currently monitoring the air quality, and the results will be announced later.

According to data from the Odesa Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the shelling damaged and destroyed a number of warehouse premises of private enterprises, fuel tanks, a business center, a garage, and an outbuilding on private property, and broke windows in nearby private houses.
