In Zakarpattia, the third law enforcement officer was dismissed in the case of fugitive Komarnytskyi

The Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police of Ukraine conducted extensive search operations concerning former Kyiv City Council deputy Denys Komarnytskyi, who is currently wanted for corruption activities. The investigation found that two law enforcement officers from the Zakarpattia region were involved in the illegal activities; they were immediately dismissed from the police force.

In addition, another head of a territorial division, who also came under suspicion in connection with these events, was dismissed. The Department of Strategic Investigations has stated that they will act strictly within the law, adhering to principles of transparency and anti-corruption efforts. They emphasized the importance of the zero-tolerance principle towards manifestations of dishonesty among police officers.

"Anyone who breaks the oath and betrays their police insignia will be held accountable," the statement noted.

Currently, in cooperation with anti-corruption agencies, actions to cleanse the police ranks of individuals involved in criminal activities continue.

It should be recalled that Denys Komarnytskyi, suspected of corruption activities, is hiding in Vienna after an illegal departure from Ukraine, claiming that the case against him is political persecution.
