Russia is preparing for a large-scale offensive in the spring to increase pressure on Ukraine — analysts
Russian invaders plan to launch a new offensive in the coming weeks to maximize pressure on Ukraine and improve the Kremlin’s position in ceasefire negotiations, as reported by AP, citing Ukrainian government and military analysts.
According to their data, the Kremlin intends to conduct a multifunctional offensive in the spring along the 1000-kilometer frontline.
President Zelenskyy, citing intelligence data, stated that Russia is preparing for new offensives in the northeastern part of the country—in the Sumy, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhya regions.
Ukrainian military commanders noted that Russia has recently intensified attacks to improve its tactical positions ahead of a likely larger-scale offensive.
"They are planning offensive actions on the front, which should last from six to nine months, covering almost the entire year 2025," said Ukrainian military analyst Oleksiy Hetman.
