Japan will assist Ukraine in obtaining intelligence data - media
Japanese satellite operator Q-shu University Institute will provide satellite geolocation images to the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
This was reported by Intelligence Online.
According to journalists, negotiations on providing the images began in February, and in March they were intensified against the backdrop of a temporary U.S. decision to halt intelligence sharing with Ukraine.
The information exchange with the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine is expected to be launched within the next two to three months. At this point, iQPS has five satellites in orbit.
Journalists also note that the volume of data obtained from Japanese geolocation satellites, together with images from Finnish ICEYE, German SAR-Lupe and SARah, as well as Italian Cosmo-SkyMed and Cosmo-SkyMed 2, can potentially exceed the amount of information provided by the U.S. National Reconnaissance Office through its equipment and purchased from commercial companies for Ukraine.
