The occupiers carried out nearly 240 shellings of Sumy region during the day, resulting in one fatality
From the morning of May 12 to the morning of May 13, Russian forces carried out nearly 240 strikes on the Sumy region, resulting in the death of one person.
This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration on Facebook.
In the Sumy community, due to an attack by a Russian UAV on an energy workers’ vehicle, the driver, born in 1981, was killed.
Throughout the day, from the morning of May 12 to the morning of May 13, the Russians carried out nearly 240 strikes on 40 settlements in 16 territorial communities of the region.
The most attacks were recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts.
The enemy conducted over 10 GAB attacks and 80 VOG drops from UAVs, inflicted more than 40 strikes with FPV drones, and carried out 50 shellings with MLRS.
Additionally, the Russians launched three missile strikes.
In the Mykolaiv settlement community, 11 private estates, a car, and a tractor were damaged.
In the Sumy community, a private estate and five cars were damaged.
In the Yunakivka community, a private house was destroyed.
In the Buryn community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged.
In the Bilopillya community, a House of Culture was damaged.
During the day, 920 people were evacuated from the border communities of Sumy region.
The air raid alert lasted for 8 hours and 18 minutes throughout the day.
